Interventional Radiology (IR) RN – High-Acuity Role
We're seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, independent nurse who thrives under pressure.
Compensation:
- $50/hour
- $1,000 weekly stipend (travelers)
About the Role:
Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) is an innovative branch of medicine where physicians treat diseases non-operatively using small catheters guided by fluoroscopic and other imaging techniques. Many minimally invasive procedures performed in VIR have replaced traditional surgery.
Procedures & Experience Includes:
- Angiogram of multiple systems
- Peripheral revascularization
- Placement & maintenance of hemodialysis catheters
- Nephrostomy drainage tubes
- Placement & maintenance of gastrostomy & jejunostomy tubes
- Central line placement
- Vascular access (including port placement & integrity)
- Pain management interventions
- Paracentesis / Thoracentesis
- Pre- and post-care for renal, liver, and lung biopsies
- Carotid stenting
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of current Interventional Radiology (IR) RN experience (required)
- Cardiac Cath Lab & Electrophysiology experience (required)
- Defibrillation certification (required)
- Strong IV skills (required)
- CCU (Critical Care Unit) experience (required)
- Meditech Expanse experience (highly preferred)
