Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular/Thoracic

Pay: $58.00 per hour
Schedule: Days | 5 x 8-hour shifts

Aura Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular/Thoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for an exciting contract opportunity in Illinois. Local candidates are welcome and receive the same competitive pay rate.

Responsibilities

• Provide circulating and/or scrub nursing care during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all surgical safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure exceptional patient care.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and accurately document care provided.
• Respond quickly and effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN License (license must be in hand)
• Recent Cardiovascular/Thoracic Operating Room experience
• Must rank 4/4 in all required Cardiovascular/Thoracic OR competency areas
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS preferred (if required by the facility)
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
