Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric

Pay: $48.00 per hour
Schedule: PRN-style scheduling with day and night shifts available

Aura Search Group is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week contract in Medford, Massachusetts. This position offers the flexibility of PRN-style scheduling while providing a consistent contract assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral health emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Practice independently and confidently, including working as the sole RN on duty when required.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Previous psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently as the only nurse on shift
• Current BLS certification
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
