Job Posting: Bilingual (Spanish/English) Chemical Dependency Counselor II

Location: Parma, OH

 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual (Spanish/English) Chemical Dependency Counselor II to join our outpatient mental health program in Parma, OH. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing diagnosis and treatment for clients, particularly those requiring chemical dependency treatment.

 

Responsibilities:

~Provide diagnosis and treatment for clients within the range of program services, with a focus on chemical dependency treatment.

~Conduct individual and family counseling sessions.

~Prepare written reports, regular case dictation, and summaries for consultation in accordance with program standards and professional ethics.

~Act as an advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services as appropriate to make referrals and conduct follow-ups.

~Provide outreach and case management to primary clients.

~Perform other duties necessary to accomplish program objectives.

 

Requirements:

~Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is mandatory.

~Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant chemical dependency counseling work experience.

~LCDC II or licensure eligibility is required.

~Experience working with adolescents and alcohol/drug assessment and case management, especially for youth returning from state institutions or in the juvenile justice system.

~Ability to form good working and therapeutic relationships.

Benefits:

Competitive annual salary: $60,000 - $70,000, depending on licensure.

Day shift hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
