Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrician/Gynecologist Physician to join our dynamic OB Hospitalist Team at our state-of-the-art facility in Muskegon, Michigan, providing exceptional maternal care with a strong focus on teaching and team-based collaboration.

Job Description:

  • Provide 24-hour in-house coverage and total management for obstetric patients
  • Attend to labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and postpartum care
  • Triage maternal patients and manage unassigned OB patients
  • Cover emergency GYN cases
  • Collaborate closely with obstetricians, experienced L&D nurses, NICU APPs, and social workers
  • Work in a hospital with on-site access to a Level II NICU
  • Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents, fellows, and medical students in an active academic environment
  • Maintain responsibility for rounding, entering orders, and attending deliveries
  • Work approximately 6–7 shifts per month (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
  • Cover a minimum of 2 weekend days per month
  • Participate in a rotating holiday schedule
  • Not accepting new grads; must have experience with OB and GYN surgery
  • Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
  • Not accepting candidates who have lapsed Board Certification and need to obtain again
  • Not accepting visa candidates
  • Not accepting Locums candidates

RequirementDescription: ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SHOULD BE NOTED IN ADDITIONAL SUBMISSION DETAILS. REQUIRED PRIOR TO CLIENT PRESENTATION UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.

  • Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible in OB/GYN (must become certified within 2 years) – REQUIRED * no exceptions
  • Experience required – must be comfortable with all aspects of OB and GYN surgery (note in "Additional Submission Details" field) - REQUIRED
  • Valid MI license - REQUIRED at time of employment.
  • DEA - REQUIRED
  • BLS Certification and maintain recertification - REQUIRED
  • Clean malpractice and license history – HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Does the provider require visa support – J1 or H1B? (Note in Additional Submission Details) – REQUIRED
