Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG), a leading integrated healthcare system, is actively seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join its OB Hospitalist Team, offering a dynamic and patient-centered practice at a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Job Description: The selected OB Hospitalist physician will be responsible for:
Providing in-house obstetric care and total management of laboring and postpartum patients
Managing obstetric emergencies, deliveries, and unassigned OB/GYN patients
Working one-on-one with experienced clinical support staff including L&D RNs, Neonatologists, NICU APPs, Nurse Managers, and more
Operating alongside a Level III NICU to provide care for high-risk newborns
Educating and supervising OB/GYN residents, fellows, and medical students
Collaborating with OBs, nurses, and Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians to ensure optimal outcomes
Rotating 24-hour shifts (6–7 per month), including holiday coverage in a structured, team-based setting
Participating in a supportive and innovative environment prioritizing safety for both mother and baby
Not accepting new grads; must have experience with OB and GYN surgery
Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.

Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible in OB/GYN (must become certified within 2 years) – REQUIRED * no exceptions
3 years minimum experience in OB/GYN – REQUIRED
Valid MI license - REQUIRED at time of employment.
DEA - REQUIRED
BLS certification & ACLS and maintain recertification - REQUIRED
Clean malpractice and license history – HIGHLY PREFERRED
