Job Title: Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse
Location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Day Shift
Pay: $52/hour

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse for a local assignment in Austin, Texas. The Pediatric PACU RN will provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients recovering from surgical and procedural anesthesia. This role is ideal for a nurse who is confident working with children and families in a fast-paced recovery environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor pediatric patients during post-anesthesia recovery

• Assess airway, vital signs, pain levels, and recovery status

• Administer medications and interventions as ordered

• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families

• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and nursing staff

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Follow pediatric care protocols and facility safety standards

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Texas or compact)

• Minimum of 2 years Pediatric PACU or Pediatric perioperative experience

• Current BLS and PALS certifications

• Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
