We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions that help individuals develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving quality of life and promoting independence for clients across the lifespan.
Evaluate clients' physical, developmental, cognitive, and emotional abilities using appropriate tools.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
Provide direct occupational therapy services to individuals in clinical, school, home, or community settings.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support therapy goals.
Recommend adaptive equipment and train clients in its proper use.
Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries according to regulatory and organizational standards.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP/504 Plans (if working in schools).
Educate clients and families about strategies for improving functional skills at home or in daily routines.
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current and valid state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification.
Strong understanding of human development, sensory integration, and functional adaptations.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Experience working in a [school-based, hospital, outpatient, early intervention] setting.
Training in sensory integration, fine motor interventions, or assistive technology.
Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic medical records or documentation systems.
