We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our educational team for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time role will serve students in both early childhood blended classrooms and self-contained elementary classrooms at Algonquin Lakes Elementary School. The OT will support students with a wide range of physical, sensory, and developmental needs, helping them access and succeed in the educational environment.
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students per IEP requirements.
Evaluate students' fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and functional skills.
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with educational objectives.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement classroom strategies and accommodations.
Document services, maintain case records, and contribute to IEP meetings.
Support inclusive practices in early childhood blended classrooms and adapt strategies for self-contained settings.
Participate in school-based problem-solving teams and provide staff training as needed.
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current Illinois Occupational Therapy license.
NBCOT certification.
Prior experience working in school-based settings preferred, especially with early childhood and special education populations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
On-site position at Algonquin Lakes Elementary School.
Includes both general education and special education classroom environments.
Early start time (6:45 AM) to support student needs across multiple programs.
$58 per hour
42-week contract, including orientation and school breaks.
