Manager of Professional Development

Overview
The Managerof Professional Development plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of patient care through education and training of nursing staff. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that promote best practices in patient care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The Clinical Nurse Educator will collaborate with healthcare teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver educational programs for nursing staff, focusing on patient care, medical terminology, and critical care practices.
  • Conduct assessments to identify educational needs and gaps in knowledge among nursing personnel.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars in various clinical settings, including hospitals and teaching hospitals.
  • Develop instructional materials and resources that align with current medical standards and HIPAA regulations.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff in their professional development, encouraging adherence to best practices in home care and hospital settings.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate medical records related to training activities and participant progress.
  • Stay current with advancements in nursing practices, physiology knowledge, and healthcare regulations to ensure relevant content delivery.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with a strong background in clinical practice.
  • Proven experience in patient care within a hospital or home care setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and critical care protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple educational initiatives effectively.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance during training sessions.
  • Experience working in a teaching hospital is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to promote a positive learning environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
