Hospital Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Pay: $150,000 to $170,000

We are seeking a COO for our community hospital in Chicago, IL.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our hospital executive team. The COO will be responsible for overseeing the organization's ongoing operations and procedures, ensuring operational excellence, and driving the strategic vision of the company. This role requires a leader who can manage change effectively, develop business strategies, and enhance operational efficiencies while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Duties

  • Lead the operational strategy and execution of business plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all departments align with the company's objectives.
  • Implement change management initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency across all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Drive business development efforts to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate strategic plans that align with the company's mission and vision.
  • Supervise department heads, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage program management activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and best practices throughout the organization.

Experience

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles, preferably as a COO or in a similar capacity within a relevant industry.
  • Strong background in operations management with demonstrated success in change management initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional skills in strategic planning and business development with a track record of achieving measurable results.
  • Ability to supervise diverse teams effectively while promoting collaboration and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
