Job Description
The Cardiothoracic Surgeon will:
- Perform a range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient care (rounding and clinic)
- Take shared on-call responsibilities (10–12 days/month including 2 weekends/month)
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary medical team
- Use the EPIC EMR system for documentation and coordination of care
- See an average of ~20 patients per day
- Contribute to building the Cardiothoracic Surgery program by joining as the second surgeon
- Participate in call and emergency surgical coverage
- Not open to new graduates or truly Board Eligible candidates
- Not open to APPs (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants)
- Not open to candidates with lapsed Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Not open to candidates commuting more than 1 hour or working multiple jobs concurrently
- Not open to H-1B visa candidates (J1 visa sponsorship only)
