We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students at Algonquin Lakes Elementary School for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time role focuses on supporting students in early childhood blended and self-contained elementary classrooms. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English and Spanish and committed to helping students with speech, language, and communication challenges access the curriculum and participate fully in the school environment.
Provide bilingual speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals.
Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations in both English and Spanish.
Develop individualized treatment plans addressing articulation, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to integrate communication goals into the school day.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute bilingual expertise to evaluation teams and parent communications.
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and compliance with IDEA and district guidelines.
Support both early learners in blended settings and students with more intensive needs in self-contained classrooms.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) with a speech-language pathology endorsement.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
Previous experience in school settings and with early childhood/special education populations is highly desirable.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
On-site position at Algonquin Lakes Elementary School.
Involves work across a variety of classroom settings including general education and special education environments.
Early start time (6:45 AM) aligned with school schedule and student needs.
$65 per hour
42-week contract includes orientation, school breaks, and professional development opportunities.
